How can I get my tickets?
Please arrive at PIAZZA DELLA CITTA’ LEONINA at least 10 minutes before your scheduled entry time. Look for our coordinator holding a gold flag with the Golden Ticket logo, who will assist you with your admission and will give you the tickets.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your reserved entry time. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
How long does the visit take?
Most visitors spend between 1.5 and 3 hours exploring St. Peter's Basilica. If your ticket includes Dome access, allow additional time for the climb and panoramic terrace.
Is the audio guide included?
Yes. Your booking includes an interactive audio guide in multiple languages, allowing you to explore the Basilica at your own pace.
What should I bring on the day of my visit?
Please bring a valid ID or passport, your mobile ticket, a fully charged smartphone, and your own earphones or headphones for the best audio guide experience.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. St. Peter's Basilica is a place of worship. Visitors must wear appropriate clothing covering both shoulders and knees. Sleeveless tops, short skirts, and short shorts are not permitted.
Is there luggage storage at St. Peter's Basilica?
No. There is no luggage storage available at St. Peter's Basilica. Large bags, suitcases, backpacks, and bulky items are not permitted inside. Alternatively, you may leave your luggage at our office for a storage fee. Please contact our staff in advance for availability, pricing, and further details.
Is the Dome included with every ticket?
No. Dome access is included only if you select either the Basilica + Dome (Stairs) or Basilica + Dome (Elevator) option.
Does the elevator take me all the way to the top of the Dome?
No. Even if you select the Dome by Elevator option, you will still need to climb approximately 320 steps to reach the highest panoramic terrace.
Can I skip the security checks?
No. All visitors must pass through the mandatory security screening before entering St. Peter's Basilica. Security checks cannot be skipped, even if you have a reserved entry ticket.
