How will I receive my tickets?
Your tickets will be sent by email and WhatsApp one day before your selected visit date. Please make sure to provide a valid email address and phone number during booking (make sure to insert the country code).
How long is my ticket valid?
Your ticket is valid for 7 consecutive days from the first scan and includes one admission to each participating museum.
What are the museum opening hours?
The National Roman Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with last admission at 6:00 PM. The sites of the National Roman Museum are closed on Mondays, unless special openings are announced.
Which museums are included with my ticket?
Your ticket includes Palazzo Massimo, Palazzo Altemps, and the Baths of Diocletian.
Is Crypta Balbi included?
No. Crypta Balbi is temporarily closed for renovation and is therefore not included with this ticket.
What should I bring on the day of my visit?
Please bring your mobile ticket, a valid ID or passport if requested
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code for visiting the National Roman Museum. Comfortable clothing and footwear are recommended.
Is there luggage storage at the museums?
Luggage storage is available at the Baths of Diocletian and Palazzo Massimo, where visitors may leave small suitcases, backpacks, and bulky items in the supervised cloakroom. Please note that Palazzo Altemps does not offer a luggage storage or cloakroom service. We recommend visiting this venue with only small personal bags. However, we offer a convenient luggage storage service at our office for an additional fee, allowing you to enjoy your visit without carrying large bags or bulky luggage. Availability is subject to storage capacity, so we recommend requesting this service in advance.
Can I visit the museums in any order?
Yes. You may visit Palazzo Massimo, Palazzo Altemps, and the Baths of Diocletian in any order during the 7-day validity period. Each museum can be entered once.
Are there any visitor rules I should be aware of?
Food and beverages are not permitted inside the museums. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes and vaping devices, is strictly prohibited. Photography for personal use is allowed; however, professional photography or filming equipment may only be used with prior authorization from the museum management.
Do children under 18 need a reservation?
Yes. Although children under 18 are entitled to free admission, a reservation is mandatory in order to generate their complimentary entry pass. Children without a valid reservation and free pass will not be admitted to the National Roman Museum.
