History

Palazzo Doria Pamphilj has been the residence of the Doria Pamphilj family since the 17th century and remains one of the few noble palaces in Rome that is still privately owned. Throughout the centuries, the family expanded both the palace and its remarkable art collection, acquiring masterpieces from some of Europe's greatest artists. Unlike many historic collections that were dispersed over time, the Doria Pamphilj collection has remained in its original setting, allowing visitors to experience the artworks exactly as they were displayed by the family. To make the visit even more personal, part of the official audio guide is narrated by a member of the Doria Pamphilj family, offering unique insights into the palace and its history.
